Samurai Champloo 21: Elegy of Entrapment (verse 2)
Wow...what an amazing conclusion (if you can even call it that) to last week's story! The visuals and music were stunning, especially the effect during the crazy fight scenes between Mugen and Sara. I won't really do a summary here, but just note some of my thoughts.
I really loved how this episode really brings out the bond that the three main characters have established. Particularly touching were the parts where Fuu throws herself over Mugen to save him from being killed, and the part where Mugen notes to Jin, "You went with Sara by yourself because you knew she was after our lives, didn't you?" Also, Fuu and Mugen desperately look for Jin when he disappeared into the river, and Mugen was extremely upset when he thought Sara had killed Jin. It's sweet how despite all their bickering, they've all grown quite attached to one another. I know, I'm quite the sentimentalist. ^_^
The plot thickens, as we see that whoever sent Sara is extremely powerful, and have had their eyes set on this trio for quite some time... I'm really looking forward to more!
